Article 8 of the document specifically defines this right, stating that “freedom of the person and of external worship are guaranteed.” In the 1921 Constitution of the Principality of Liechtenstein, Articles 37.1 and 39 grant religious freedom, and Article 37.2 declares the Roman Catholic Church is the official church.
